He was away from his country, on a long journey, when he became needed for that position, and his daughter had followed after him. So they were lost and far from home when they became king and princess.
It was bad. It picked up her ship and hurled it across the sea, rushing over islands, until it hit an island too big to fly over, and was stuck fast between two huge fig trees.
