Marine is a lovely girl and so brave and energetic and clever and oh god he can't take care of her and she keeps going out and winning games that he doesn't even notice and she's obviously capable and mature so he doesn't want to step on her toes or make her feel like he's overstepping his bounds trying to protect her because really, who is he? Some strange man she just met! But he wants all the best for her and to encourage her and make sure she gets three square meals a day and yes okay basically he's just brimming with affection and nervousness for her everywhere. He thinks she has a good heart and good sense, and he's really glad she's on his team.

Ahhhh Ned that's so cute.

Marine loves Ned. '^' He's kind and smart and he talks a lot (but it's okay because she can tell he's nervous sometimes) and she can tell that he cares a lot! She really appreciated Ned after the trauma game a lot because him being there and trying to be supportive was really nice. 8(a SHE IS SUPER FOND OF HIM and super glad that they're on the same team. Sure, he's some strange guy she just got thrown on a team with, but she doesn't care much about that. She knows she can depend on him and that's what counts! Also he's one of the calmer people on the team and the team honestly needs some calm people. Because calm is something they kind of fail at as a group.

SHE WOULD HONESTLY BE OKAY WITH IT if he wanted to take care of her!? Because Ned is cool. '-' There are just no guarantees that she wouldn't barrel headfirst into stupid situations without thinking if something happens (like that one cave exploradora plot back in January).

OKAY SO I saw that you said your thoughts on Heliodor, but what does Ned think of Team Sunshine and Fucking Rainbows?

HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW. He is extremely attached to the team, because... well, when you show up in a group of complete amnesiacs and have to live together and work together, that's a thing that happens. He adores Jet and Marine and is having ABORTIVE DAD FEELINGS, he is a bundle of affection and failure over Tsuruume, he... somehow is ridiculously determined to get along with Church by yelling... even though it doesn't work... he likes Discourse because Discourse can actually hold a rational conversation... and he is just kind of permanently concerned for Rei's wellbeing. He is actually kind of permanently concerned for the wellbeing of the entire team, because they're so all over the place.

After the Ruby debacle, he doesn't really have a lot of faith in how they'll handle high-stress situations and he doesn't know how to fix it, but it hasn't even occurred to him to try to detach himself from the situation or deal with it by walking away, which is... kind of a huge thing given who we're talking about here. THE AMNESIA HELPS. But yeah he is super stuck on his team, and super doesn't know how to cope with it. Contrarily, even though he can see that they're a) all over the place and b) likely to do crazy things under stress, he's still convinced that they're a Good Team. THEY'RE HIS OKAY. He's full of feelings.

How does Marine feel about the team?

THE LONG VERSION IS JUST. . . she loves Heliodor and she is very attached to them. It's helped along by the fact that Heliodor is a brand new team with seven brand new amnesiacs that really have no idea what they're doing when it comes to Aather! But also, Marine is a very affectionate person and when she gets attached she will dere forever. SHE WOULD DICKPUNCH FOR ANYONE ON THE TEAM if the situation required it even if there are still a lot of feelings on her end when it comes to what happened with Ruby during the game and in the aftermath. '-'a

With the whole Ruby thing, it's like-- okay she gets why there was retaliation and she can't say it was unexpected or anything like that! She gets it. However!! She's attached to her team and while she knows her feelings with that are somewhat irrational because it's not like it's unjust... she is just. WE ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO CAN PUNCH CHURCH unless he really has done something that stupid!! But yeah, she just. She can't blame Ruby at all, but there is also intense Heliodere. 8(a Also, Tsuruume was the one who ultimately put everything on Ruby so FOR ONCE it wasn't Church-- not that she wants anything to happen to Tsuruume either. :T

S-So yeah, basically there is a lot of intense dere and she is never letting you go Heliodor. :'D Once in Marine's claws, there is no escape.

UM. . . What are Ned's feelings on his zombie power?

At the moment? He's glad he had it because Chuck. And he NEVER WANTS IT BACK. Because... Chuck.

So far, he remembers it as an important part of his past, and, significantly, as the reason Chuck's alive. But it's also something that he knows caused him a lot of fear, and not only because of the conditions. He knows he'll have to be extremely careful about touching people if he gets it back -- he's terrified that if someone dies in a game and gets revived, it'll mean that they're dead forever if he touches them. And in Aather, there are so many other, less limited revival options that his power is going to be way more dangerous than useful. He's also had a couple of upsetting reactions when he's told people about it -- Discourse was all for using it strategically in games, and Eff got scared of him, and when you combine that with the fact that as long as he doesn't have it, he gets to touch Chuck... yeah. He doesn't want it back at all. He's wrestling with the idea of just... never taking skills. He figures when it's time for him to go home, he can take them all, but as long as he's in Aather he'd rather not have it. But he also is developing a bit of a usefulness complex, so he'll probably end up taking his skills after all.

Any memories you're particularly looking forward to for Marine?

UM. . . hmm. I think I'm most looking forward to the memories involving Marine's sister, since there are a lot of jealousy issues in there since her sister is a POPULAR MODEL!! and she never managed to be that good at modeling (which was actually what led to her getting into fashion design). The memories with Dark Precure might be nice too because while they tend to be negative, they also happen to be a giant driving force for her because she totally needs more motivation and determination than she already has. '-'

How about you? Anything you'd really like for Apollo to get back?

ummmm haha yes, but they're things I haven't put in his registry yet LIKE A WINNER. I kind of just want him to have awkward memories of using his powers and memories from before he brings Chuck back to life, so I obviously need to fill those in, because they're mostly going to be headcanon/implied canon -- I guess there are probably a couple of flashbacks, but they're mostly from when he was a kid. There is one implied canon memory that I'm really excited about, which is THIS ONE TIME he was about to get lucky with a girl... on a bearskin rug... >.>;

Tell me about TAVROS and RUBY.

OH GOSH TAVROS AND RUBY. Tavros adores Ruby a lot and a lot of his intial issues (not fitting in, feeling awkward around them, etc.) all went away with time. Also there hasn't been an emotion poker game to really mess with his teammates so there aren't any awkward introductions like what happened when he first got to Aather. \:D/ He is super dependant on his team even if he doesn't exactly realize how depedant he is. Ruby is family! While the concept is still really new to him because trolls don't have family like humans do, he understands that they're a family. That just happens to fight a lot. /o/

WHERE THERE IS A RUBYPILE, Tavros is probably going to be in it.

Also in general, Ruby, despite being ... Ruby ... and being pretty unhealthy at times because they argue so much about everything, he's gained a lot of self-confidence and self-esteem. Ruby will always be healthier than whatever is in his memories.

He is also super protective of his team and that is why he was okay with Naha punching Church even if he didn't like the fact that it was happening? HE IS NOT VIOLENT and dislikes violence but once he knew Heliodor was the reason Ruby was killed he ... didn't care ... because troll society is like that and he remembers troll society.

Which five people in Aather (not on Heliodor) have made the best impression on Ned?

Well, Chuck is number one, obviously! (jfc I can't believe how fast that progressed)

And then... he really liked Mitchell, just as a comfortable sort-of-peer to be around, he had a super positive impression of Jaina with her slight teasing and total willingness to help out Church without asking awkward questions, he thinks Dragonfly is absolutely adorable in a... sort of alarmingly aggressive way... and Mithos is a very nice young man who gives plausible quests!

What's the most interesting way in which Tavros's development in Aather is different from or parallel to his development in canon?

HE HAS REAL CONFIDENCE AND SELF-ESTEEM which ... isn't actually a thing in canon. He mentions that it's fake a lot in canon, andddd what isn't fake is all based on the fact that he has robotic legs (and he's not paralyzed because YAY METAL LEGS). It's really interesting and really fun to play with because while he's still not the most confident and there's still some self-hatred, the change in how he thinks is nice because it's way healthier than whatever he had in canon-- not that it's particularly healthy because of the self-hatred and the levels are pretty low, but hey, still way better than canon. Aather's rainbow road has been nice to him. /o/;;

Hmm, is there anything unexpected that happened with Mau? He's been in Aather for a long time, so I'm kind of curious if there were any changes between canon!Mau and Aather!Mau.
