Haha I just call it an old lady soul because she's competent and responsible as compared to most other manga heroines, from my point of view. Or maybe it's just that she's different, I dunno. She's super focused on her goal of becoming a pharmacist, and while she does have problems she doesn't let them hold her back and tries to think of ways to solve them. A big thing with her is that even when she's freaking out, she can calm herself down and think of a solution to the problem. The downside being that she's so independent that she has trouble asking for help or receiving help. IT'S COOL I GOT THIS NO BIG DEAL and sometimes that backfires oops.

In canon she's basically just determined to find her own path in life and live how she wants to, as freely as she can, and in a way that isn't a burden to others. While she's still working on that path, she decides early on that she wants to become a pharmacist of the royal court and be able to help Zen (the second prince of the country) with the things that he isn't able to do to help his people. And she is massively in love with plants and herbs and helping people, so it just works out nicely that she can use that to help in her own way. Her canon makes it pretty clear that this is Shirayuki's way of helping people too--she likes helping! As long as it's not something she's opposed to, she'll try her best.

While I wouldn't say her values are different in Aather, I would say she channels her energy differently. In canon, she has a set job as a pharmacist and is confident in her position and her abilities. In Aather she is definitely less sure of her position, and attempts to compensate for that by doing ALL THE THINGS and mentally and physically overwhelms herself. Sapphire just existing really helps her, because she knows that's a place she can be and wants to be. The difference overall probably lies in the fact that Shirayuki is farther down the path to getting to the place where she wants to be in canon, and in Aather she's got a long way to go. There's also a constant conflict of her memories vs. being in Aather, because her memories are reminding her that she has a place she wants to go back to. But then team is here and she wants to be with Sapphire too. CONFLICTING FEELINGS!!

I don't know if I actually answered your question. Tell me about Chance! The idea of her sounds familiar but I don't actually recall where it's from. Is there a particular backstory behind it?

Chance actually doesn't have a particular backstory -- I sort of modeled them off of the gods of luck in Steven Erikson's Malazan Book of the Fallen series very loosely, and stole some of their symbolism from Fortuna very loosely. But they're kind of their own derpy thing. I just wanted a coin toss betting Persona. They're a lot derpier than any of what they're based on. >.>;

Is there anyone else you'd like to app at Aather?

I have a whole list of people I suddenly want to app at Aather, but I want to wait and see how I can handle 2 first. At some point I want to app Laurence from the Temeraire series because he is an adorable older British gentleman and is awesome, and Machika from Immortal Rain because I just want to see what she'd be like in an amnesia setting. And Conan from that stupid long Detective Conan series would be my third atm if I feel the strong urge to app come the end of June still.

Reverse reverse do you have anyone you'd like to app? And if you don't you can just tell me what pinged you about Ned.

OH GOD I have so many people I want to app XD but I probably won't because two is enough.

But I'd really like to app Fray from Fray, because she is so badass and I just generally like her arc and also it'd be kind of like playing Mal from Firefly except a hot chick. I'd also seriously consider apping Buffy, because apparently I really want a Slayer. Top of the list, though, is Mae from The Demon's Lexicon series, because gosh she is funny and intelligent and nerdy and short and MADE OF STEEL INSIDE and a total commander and I love her to bits. I need a lady in my line-up ok ok.

Ned pinged me because I love his canon and he's so different without his backstory. Not really voice-wise, but the way he responds to things.

Any Personae you wish would show up?

UHMMM I DON'T THINK SO, at least none in particular. I am excited for all the Personae that are currently apped and things. I would really enjoy a...nice personae of medicines and healing that Apple would like. '-' Because I think it would be adorable. But otherwise I am just excited for all the thingssss.
