Okay Mau passed 25,000 comments last night and now officially has more comments than any character I have ever played (jfc I haven't even had him for a year and a half I know I'm not the spammiest but I'm still impressed.) And Ned passed 1000 awhile ago! And I'm stuck in bed.

Altogether these seem like a pretty good excuse for a QUESTION MEME for Mau, Ned, and, if you want, Chance.

"Oh, you mean, you'll pretend to be him, and I ask you questions!"

"...very good."

Well, Inara hit 3000 tonight, and Mau hit 13,000 around Halloween, and it's been three months, so hopefully everybody has forgotten how hard I failed at this last time and I'm allowed to play again.

I will try and actually answer questions that anybody feels like asking about either of them, this time! Or about Chance.

Mau reached 10k and I want to do first impressions stuff for Inara (Willow), so! Questions meme.

Also I guess you could ask about Chance if you want?

I can't shut up about this )

tl;dr, people went through Mau's heart and systematically flicked on every zen switch available, Excel made Naoya into one of his coping mechanisms for grief and Josh touched his hormones without actually doing anything to them.

THE END now ask me questions if there's anything I forgot.

Now I just have to catch up on memories 8D 8D

Mau's skills are all pretty self explanatory, it's nice. This skill includes everything from felling trees to how long logs take to cure to actually processing lumber into planks or posts or a canoe. He can make excellent outrigger canoes and decent other timber products. He can also make an okay wooden hut, and does not need any metal nails for this. He will now be proficient at learning new types of woodworking (such as making furniture) from others, or will be able to figure it out from examples, as well.

So Mau reached 5000 comments and I realized I've never done a question meme in any game ever and I want to!

I just play this guy. A-also feel free to use this as a post to harass me in if I've dropped a thread with you, I am terribly derp with school these days.

What it says! Mau's martial arts training likely involved mostly spear/staff fighting in a formal sense, as well as hand-to-hand combat and a whole lot of rough-housing with other boys who all wanted to be warriors when they grew up. He isn't a master, but he's competent; he knows how to fall and throw kicks and punches, how to thrust and sweep and block with a spear, and the rules of ritual combat where he's from.

What it says on the box! Mau now knows how to track game by prints, scat and so forth. He knows how to move quietly through brush, how to set snares for small animals, how to use a spear for throwing and stabbing, and how to hunt large, dangerous game in a group. This all applies to birds and land animals. He does not know how to fish properly, how to make a spear or how to process animals once they are dead.

Deciding He Was Dead )

So this is a pretty short memory and doesn't require a lot of write-up. I just want to note a couple of things: first, Mau doesn't actually remember the horrible things he'd blocked out his mind. He remembers remembering them, but it's just a blur of "that was really bad." The main effect this memory had on him was to make him worry more about future memories.
